Description |
Application Deadline Friday 29 November 2019
An experienced campaign manager is sought to lead and drive environmental advocacy in remote regions in Queensland with Pew Charitable Trusts. The successful candidate will lead environmental campaigns to secure large scale protection of remote landscapes in Queensland, including advocating for the protection of free-flowing rivers in the Channel Country and increased state investment in private protected areas, national parks and Indigenous land and sea management.
Pew works in Australia to obtain better, science-based, protection and management of land and seascapes in the Australian Outback and adjacent seas. Fundamental to our work is obtaining durable conservation outcomes that imbed long term and positive land and sea management by local people.
With offices in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Brussels and London and staff in other regions of the United States as well as Australia, Pew provides an exciting learning environment and the opportunity to work with highly talented individuals. We are a dynamic, rapidly evolving organization that values creativity and innovative thinking and fosters strong teamwork with mutual respect.
The position is based in Brisbane. The position reports to the Deputy-Director, Outback to Oceans, and supervises a campaign team with strengths in communication, stakeholder engagement and community outreach.
