QHSE Manager, across the UK

My client is a major European company that has been branching into the UK market since 2001. They are leaders within the UK Wind sector but will also have projects within Oil and Gas. My client currently involved in 2 offshore wind projects of over 90MW each and are in the process of developing to larger one of over 150MW.

Core Criteria: My client is looking for a QHSE manager who has working experience in energy market in order to develop the operations of the department and who can head up implementation within the UK.

Responsibilities

• ·         This position requires the development of the QHSE team in the UK and will provide an opportunity to grow a team and department
• ·         You will report to the country manager in this position and be working closely with him in order to grow your team within a certain timeframe.
• ·         You will also be required to travel and meet with other QHSE managers within our company throughout Europe in order to produce companywide implementation processes.
• ·         You will work to the highest level and employ staff that fits to the companies requirement
• ·         Your visit sites across the UK to ensure that the requirements within QHSE are been met and are in compliance with UK standard.

Education

Advanced degree in Engineering or Business Administration

Core Requirements:-

• ·         A complete knowledge of the regulations and legislation of HSE within the UK
• ·         Strong experience in a management role within the energy sector
  • ·         Skills in developing relationships in order to developed the HSE department in the UK with a focus in the Wind market
  • ·         In field work experience in QHSE in the energy arena

General requirements

• ·         Ability to travel
• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Strong presentation skills
