Background information
APEC Climate Center (APCC) is a leading climate information service provider in the Asia-Pacific region. We seasonal climate forecasts and other climate information products and services, conduct research and development activities, and organize capacity building initiatives for developing countries in the region. APCC is expanding its activities to enhance the reputation of the Center and is need of creative and motivated new staff to bridge between the Center, public and other international networks.
Scope of work:
- Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies of the Center
- Managing and communicating a Center’s reputation and policy with the public in general and international networks such as APEC member economies, Advisory Body, public and private sectors in particular by using all forms of media and communications
- Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, photographs and promotional videos that serve to Center’s image and policy to the public
- Writing and editing press releases, newsletter and news & events
- Maintaining and updating information on the Center’s website
- Maintaining and keeping Center’s historical files and records as an archivist
Required skills and competencies:
- Show a good understanding of the Center’s mission, goal and activities
- High level of initiative and capacity to work unsupervised
- Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team
- Excellent communication and writing skills
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Have experience in Public Relations, Advertising, Archive, Journalism or Media
