The Ministry of Natural Resources, Nipigon District, has an exciting opportunity if you:

• Are passionate about resource and land planning and can provide effective public consultation
• Enjoy working both independently and as part of a team
• Are driven to represent the Ministry while coordinating efforts to protect and plan Conservation Reserves
• Are eager to coordinate initiatives with partners and stakeholders and assist in development and management of Conservation Reserve strategies

Please note there is one position that can be located in either Geraldton or Nipigon.

Qualifications:

Knowledge
• You have expertise in resource and land use planning
• You have knowledge of environmental assessment policies and processes
• You can interpret and apply relevant legislation
• You are able to use computer software including word processing, spreadsheets and database programs

Skills
• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• You can consult with stakeholder groups and deliver presentations
• You are able to write conservation plans and reports
• You can analyze resource management plans and solve related issues
• You have planning and coordinating skills to conduct meetings and manage field investigations
