As a market leading within renewable energy, my client has a global reach and a growing list of world class projects across the globe. They are looking for a Proposals Manager to join their team in Brandenburg, Germany to continue their growth within the European market.
Position Overview:
My client is looking to recruit an outstanding Proposals Manager who will be responsible for tenders from initial enquiry through to handover to the projects team. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be required to lead the bid and proposal presentations for wind farm projects throughout Germany.
Responsibilities:-
- Manage a team of proposal engineers (SCADA, siting, transport, construction and installation, engineering) through tender and contract processes.
- · Manage the project cost calculation and communicate with the Commercial Manager to ensure effective pricing
- · Provide detailed instructions to the project team
- Lead and supervise major technical advisory, transmission & distribution plant/equipment specification electrical system design, project engineering and consultancy service projects and to deliver them on time and within budget
- Perform technical and commercial risk assessment before proposal submission to the customer
- Establish terms and conditions for Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA) and Service and Availability Agreements (SAA)
Education:-
- · Must have strong educational background with a degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a degree in Business
Core Requirements:-
- At least 3 years relevant work experience in the wind power sector
- Ability to lead long term complex projects
- · A strong understanding of wind and construction sectors
- · Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
General Requirements:-
- Strong communication skills including report writing and presenting
- Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
