Projects Officer - Countryside Management Service x3
£18,453 - £30,851 per annum incl.

Hertfordshire's Countryside Management Service (CMS) is unique in several ways. One of the first
countryside management projects to be established in the UK, we help local communities care for the
countryside while promoting opportunities to enjoy it. The secret of our success rests on levels of passion,
ambition and innovation that are hard to beat elsewhere. In this exciting environment, we're looking for a
proactive person to join our county-wide team: a diverse area that extends from Cheshunt to the Chilterns (c2c).
Here, you'll manage a whole range of fascinating projects from start to finish - whether it's producing a
management plan for a "Green Flag" park or finding fresh ways to encourage people to take country walks.
In doing so, you'll be involved in everything from securing funds to managing contractors and selling ideas
and will work with everyone from local volunteers to farm and greenspace managers or local health
professionals. That's why you'll need to combine plenty of vision and enthusiasm, with the initiative to work
autonomously, the ability to persuade and motivate others, and the drive to achieve great results. Plus, of
course, a commitment to preserving and improving the countryside for everyone to enjoy. To discuss this
stimulating, varied and worthwhile challenge, please contact Lee Tyson or Tony Bradford on 01462 459395.
