My client is one of the leading renewable energy providers globally. They specialize in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon modules and are also a leading commercial and utility-scale solar PV developer with a strong market presence in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific regions. With expansion of their project development team in Europe they are looking to recruit a project technical manager to join their team in Milan.
Position Overview: The technical manager will provide insight on all technical matters relating the construction of projects. They will provide oversight for all quality and safety requirements on the project and planning/management for all general conditions requirements to successfully install the project on-time and within budget, while maintaining required levels for quality and safety.
Responsibilities:-
- · System design (on-grid or BIPV configuration design)
- · Technical feasibility study and due diligence on the target power plants
- · System efficiency improvement through technology development; system cost( BOS cost down) through supplier control and technology
- · Monitoring the construction/operation & maintenance; On-site operation management and maintenance.
- · Technical plan/solution
- · O&M Solution
Education:-
- · Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related education or training, or Business Administration or equivalent job experience necessary
Core Requirements:-
- At least 5 years relevant work experience in the solar industry
- Local PV system design experience, familiar with on-grid or BIPV configuration design and has independent design experience
- · Understand the BOS product and cost
- · On-site DD and O&M management experience
General Requirements:-
- · Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- · Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
- · Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- · Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook including problem solving and analytical skills required
Key Skills:-
- Solar PV, Engineering Background (buildings or architecture or construction, electrical engineering preferred), solar projects experience, Local PV system design experience, familiar with on-grid or BIPV configuration design and has independent design experience and team leadership
