My client is amongst the leading renewable energy providers globally. They a specialize in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon modules and are also a leading commercial and utility-scale solar PV developer with a strong market presence in Europe, USA and the Asia-Pacific regions. They are looking to recruit a Senior project site development manager. The project site development manager will be responsible identifying sites for large-scale solar project development in Germany.
Core Criteria:
My client is seeking a senior Project Site Development Manager who has a strong background engineering and experience in scouting and development of sites for large-scale commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects.
Responsibilities:-
- · Responsible for the origination, development and authorization of large-scale commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects
- · Search for and secure suitable large areas for the development of solar power plants over a megawatt
- · Conduct market analysis and feasibility and risk assessment studies on a daily basis
- · Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements and securing grid connections and building permits
- · Identification of project sites, land procurement, licensing and authorization
- · Liaising with relevant regulatory bodies to ensure correct procedures are met
- · Perform potential analysis and specific technical and commercial assessment of properties
- · Conduct contractual negotiations with land owners and local authorities
- · Prepare land for construction, including clearance and decontamination or demolition work
- · Cooperate with external project developers to acquire developed projects at different stages, including due diligence and purchase agreement negotiations
- · Develop and maintain a network of project developers, authorities, municipalities, land owners, investors and other business partners
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Engineering (MSc Advantage).
Requirements:-
- At least 2-4 years relevant solar photovoltaic (PV) with a proven track record in scouting and development of sites for large-scale commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects
- Experience in redeveloping disused sites
- Experience with zoning plans, development plans, building application procedures, regional planning and related legislation and regulations
- Excellent negotiating, presentation and facilitation skills
General Requirements:-
- · Excellent problem solving skills
- · Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and detecting realistic solutions
- · Very good MS Office skills and experience with geospatial information systems and ACAD
Key Skills:
Solar PV, Engineering Background(architecture, environmental planning or civil), commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects , Site Development Manager, project development, Fluency in German and a good level of spoken English.
