Title: Project Manager
Location: Sheffield with travel to carry out site-visits
Employment type: Permanent & fulltime
Package
Salary up to £35,000 to £50,000 dependant on experience

River Stewardship Company are based in Sheffield working across Yorkshire, East Midlands, Lincolnshire, and Greater Manchester delivering water way maintenance, invasive species management and natural flood management. In addition, we provide arboriculture, landscaping, and habitat restoration services. We are part of the Environmental Framework delivering services across several regions.
We believe in giving back and do so through our partner company Riverlution, supporting several projects providing social impact to local communities and through a bespoke environmental training scheme.
As a Project Manager you:
- will be responsible for safe, timely and commercial management of a portfolio of varied projects and frameworks across our area of delivery.
- will work closely with clients and sub-contractors, as well as with community and special interest groups and other stakeholders, where required.
- have line management responsibilities for staff from the delivery team.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Project Management - tasks will include but not limited to - programme management, producing risk assessments, method statements and project phase plans. Co-ordinating resources and supporting the delivery teams through to successfully deliver high quality works.
- Project Administration / Reporting - duties will include responsibility for programming & financial performance of your projects. Ensuring the project details are updated on the CRM and administering any change management and non-conformance. Project closure and invoicing is completed and provision of performance reports as and when required.
- Business Development - duties will include proactively seeking opportunities and respond to new enquiries from existing Clients.
- Build & Maintain relationships with key commissioners, partners, and stakeholders at various levels, including the Environment Agency, local authorities, riparian landowners, partnerships, community groups and subcontractors.
- Training - conduct staff reviews and aid in the management of staff training and certification. Ensure that your own training is up to date.
- Line management - responsibilities for delivery staff assigned to your projects - approving holidays, staff development, training requirements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company procedures & standards.
- Management of staff and subcontractors - ensure adequate provision of information, instruction, training, competence, supervision, and any other resources to enable the team to carry out their duties safely and efficiently.
- Quality Management System - assist in the maintenance and compliance with the QMT.
