Project Manager

The Climate Group is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to design, develop and drive forward a major new initiative that will accelerate ambition and investment in zero carbon steel production amongst major steel companies.

Steel is a key sector in the energy transition. It is the world’s largest materials industry with a turnover of 1 trillion US dollars, and is 10 times larger than the aluminium industry, more than seven times larger than the copper industry and four times that of the cement industry. As recognised by the EU in its long-term strategy, heavy industry sectors will play a key role in reaching carbon neutrality by 2050, and this project will be focused on developing a compelling demand signal for zero carbon steel. A further ambition is to develop a replicable approach and model that could be used to drive forward change in other priority heavy industrial sectors, including cement and chemicals.
