Project Manager, Germany

My client is an exciting expanding global organisation functioning in the Solar PV sector who offer planning, financing, and installation of solar plants. The client currently operates in numerous countries, including the four leading countries in solar PV: Germany, Italy, Czech Republic and Spain. Due to their strong international presence they are currently looking for an experienced project manager with an engineering background to control the exciting and innovate large scale solar PV projects in Europe.

Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all the organization and controlling of large scale commercial solar PV projects
• Developing and managing the current team
• Assist in the negotiations with the construction companies the client is working with
• Travelling frequently to deal with electrical installations on site and cooperating in the planning of projects

Skills and qualifications needed:

• 5 years experience in the installation of solar PV systems above 500mw, with expertise in roof tops
• Comprehensive understanding and integration of the sub-processes: licensing, planning, finance and construction
• Management experience in electrical engineering solar PV context, with the ability to multi-task
• Passionate about the photovoltaic industry
• On Site Technical Solar PV Skills, with experience as a project controller in large construction projects
• Understanding of grid connected and off grid PV systems
• General knowledge of different types of solar PV modules
• Fluent in German and English, further languages well received
• Strong CAD and IT skills
• A university degree (preferably in electrical engineering)
• The ability to travel
