Project manager, Bristol, UK

My client is a rapidly expanding developer of onshore wind farms based in the UK. They are currently looking to fill key roles within their company to handle the pipe line of projects that they have recently acquired. My client is involved in developing 1.5MW-20MW onshore wind farms and has multiple projects that are in the planning stage.

Position Overview:

This position requires overseeing multiple projects for an onshore wind farm developer. They require someone who can manage multiple projects overseeing the planning, development and eventually the construction phase of the wind farm projects. You will liaise with engineering consultants, landowners, local communities and investors in order to ensure that all projects are taken through to construction.

Responsibilities:

• ·         You will oversee a pipe line of over 20 onshore wind projects through the planning and development of phase.
• ·         This role will require technical and project management support in onshore wind farm projects.
• ·         Managing of a  large team of engineers and technical consultants support across a variety of projects
• ·         Reporting to the senior management in a timely and effective manner regarding individual wind farm projects.
• ·         Working on a technical level with engineers and technical support in order to oversee the renewable energy project
• ·         Maintain a high standard in order to maintain the reputation of the company
• ·         You will utilise the consultants support in order to ensure that projects get through the planning phase
• ·         You will demonstrate your strong project management experience managing and overseeing multiple projects across the UK.
• ·         You will liaise with communities and local councils in order to provide informed and technical knowledge on the wind farm projects ensuring that they have a complete and thorough understanding of the process

Education:

A relevant degree in engineering, environmental science or related field in the renewable energy sector

Key Skills

• ·         Strong experience in working as a senior project manager in a renewable energy field.
• ·         2-3 years experience in working on onshore wind farms preferably in a project manager capacity
• ·         An understanding of the renewable energy market and regulations
• ·         Experience in liaising with a variety of clients, investors and engineers
• ·         You will have a strong passion for the wind energy sector

Desirable Attributes:

• ·         Exceptional report writing and communication skills
• ·         A solid background in managing teams and external clients
• ·         A keen interest in the wind farm industry and its affects with the UK market
• ·         Very strong problem solving skills
• ·         Highly organized
