The Institute for Marketecology (IMO) is one of the first and most renowned international agencies for inspection, certification and quality assurance of eco-friendly products. Our world-wide activities are accredited by the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) according to EN 45011 (ISO 65), which is the international standard for certification. IMO offers certification for organic production and handling according to the EU Regulation (EC) N° 834/2007 and (EC) N° 889/2008. Also, we have been accredited by USDA and MAFF for organic certification according to the American National Organic Program (NOP) and to the Japanese Agricultural Standard (JAS), respectively.
For more than 20 years, IMO has been active in the field of organic certification and has further developed expert sectors in seafood, natural textiles, sustainable forestry, and social accountability monitoring. Job description To support our team, IMO is looking for an expert in line with the following job description:
•Audit planning and coordination •On-site audits of aquaculture farms and fisheries •Report writing, report evaluation •Interaction with customers and interested parties
•Coordination of complex projects, project management (budget responsibility, planning, data analysis, controlling, administration)
•Acquisition of new projects, marketing
•Other activities / responsibilities depending on interest
The position offers a sound insight into methods of quality control and certification, international contacts and participation in the development of eco-friendly approaches. Training and support will be provided by the aqua team at the head office in Weinfelden (CH) or Konstanz (DE).
Requirements •Graduation in aquaculture or fisheries sciences or similar •Interest in sustainable seafood etc. •Experience & interest with client interaction; social skills •Languages: Proficiency level in English and German mandatory. French and Spanish desirable •EDV: affinity to software programs (e.g. Vertec, E-cert) and excellent knowledge of excel and other data and project management tools e.g. MS Project •Experience in project management and controlling •Good working skills (efficient, well structured, ability to work under pressure, work independently, timely and able to manage complex processes) •Good writing/documentation skills •Experience as an auditor or in quality control desirable •Full-time or part-time •Starting date: July or as soon as possible.
