Project Finance Solar PV Specialist, Germany

My client is a well established player in the European solar photovoltaic market. They acquire and develop large solar PV projects, ground based, of 1MW+ in size, across Germany, Italy, France and the CEE region including the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. They are expanding with a number of new projects in the pipeline so they are looking to hire a Debt Project Finance expert to join their headquarters in Europe.

Responsibilities include:

• Obtain debt project financing facilities for all new projects via banks or other financial institutions
• Cash flow modeling
• Reporting to the CFO, CEO, COO and other members of the management team in relation to progress or difficulties in obtaining or structuring financing solutions for various utility scale solar PV projects
• Negotiate at a senior level with potential lenders
• Prepare all necessary documentation
• Liaise internally with legal specialists in order to work within relevant laws and regulations
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with debt financing partners

Skills and responsibilities must include:

• At least 3 years’ experience working in conventional or renewable energy debt project financing either in a bank or an energy project development company
• Background in financial engineering or a similar discipline educated to BSC/MSC/Diplom-Kaufmann level
• Fluency in German and English
• Willing and able to live and work in Germany. Some travel may be required up to 30%.
• Significant experience in structured financing of large renewable energy projects in the Euro Zone would be a big advantage
• Autonomous, knowledgeable and able to come up with realistic solutions for any problems that arise
• Proven track record assessing loans and securities
• Good IT skills (Word and Excel)
