Description

My client is one of the  leading  large-scale renewable energy power plant developer. They specialize in developing large-scale plants in the renewable energies sector and marketing them to institutional investors. They  


Position Overview:
The project finance manager will be responsible for finding buyers of large-scale solar PV projects. They will carry out deal negotiations in the sale of current projects, dealing with top investment funds, investment banks, EPC companies and other major firms in the renewable energy sector.

 

Responsibilities:-

 

  • Debt raising and financial structuring/negotiation of new projects
  • Equity raising and sale project negotiations
  • Project development, acquisition strategy and external advisors coordination
  • Negotiation of all the project contracts (EPC, O&M, land lease, etc)
  • Projects business plan, budgeting and financial reporting
  • ·         Source and define the potential off-takers in Europe and other countries
  • Origination and assessment of project opportunities in the Mediterranean and Balkans regions, for greenfield and acquisition projects
  • Feasibility and risk assessment studies, completing due diligence activities, management of multiple projects simultaneously structuring international cross-functional working team
  • Management of the client relationship from origination up to construction
  • Negotiations with project partners like local developers, suppliers, EPC and financial institutions
  • ·         Identifying financing banks, preparing information memorandum, negotiation with banks & equity investors
  • ·         Oversee the whole project cycle from origination to execution of solar PV power plant project financing
  • ·         Equity raising and project sale negotiations
  • ·         Identify, assess and create project development opportunities
  • ·         Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements; securing grid connections and building permits
  • ·         Proactively sourcing new potential sites for development to grow the business
  • ·         Project negotiations (with diverse project partners like local developers, IPPs or utilities)
  • ·         Negotiating terms and closing deals
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations

 

Education:-

  • ·         Strong educational background, (finance related degree)

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         Minimum 5 years experience project development experience in the renewable energy industry, with a proven track record in the sale and project financing of renewable energy projects
  • ·         Strong leadership qualities
  • ·         Excellent commercial experience
  • ·         Project and time management skills
  • ·         Strong contact/relationship with off-takers, including banks, power companies, fund.

 

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel frequently
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
  • ·         Good oral and written communications skills  
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

 

Key Skills:-

Solar PV, Strong educational background, (finance related degree), experience project development experience in the renewable energy industry, sale and project financing of renewable energy projects, team leadership experience and complex stakeholder and customer management experience.
