SgurrEnergy is an international renewable energy consultancy working with a broad range of technologies including wind, bioenergy, solar, hydro and marine. The company is now seeking to recruit an experienced project engineer to join our expanding team.
Job Description
- Management of a range of renewable energy consulting projects to time, quality and cost parameters.
- Co-ordination and leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Acting as the interface between SgurrEnergy and clients.
- Reporting on projects internally and to clients.
- Preparing project proposals.
- Supporting the Project Managers where required.
- Continuously monitoring work to ensure QSE compliance.
- Conducting project site visits in the UK and overseas.
Essential Criteria
- A relevant engineering degree.
- Significant postgraduate experience and a proven track record in project engineering / project management.
- The ability to produce and review high quality reports to predefined deadlines.
- The successful candidate will be client facing and so must be a confident communicator with smart appearance.
- Applicants must demonstrate a high level of problem solving ability and initiative.
- A flexible and proactive approach to work.
- Attention to detail, reliability and good organisational skills are paramount.
- Driving license valid for use in the UK.
- Strong IT skills particularly in MS Word and Excel.
- An interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of renewable energy industry.
- Strong commercial skills.
- Experience of high value contract management.
- Management of site contractors in the energy sector.
- Knowledge of project management techniques including program/cost/risk management.
- Experience with MS Project
- Language skills.
- Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally.
Hours: 37 hours per week.
