Project Development Manager, London, UK

My client is one of the world’s leading developers of wind and renewable energy projects, due to further increasing their market share and ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years they now have an exciting opportunity for an Offshore Project Development Manager to join their team.

This is an outstanding opportunity giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work on international wind projects.

Position Overview:

Initially you will manage the overall site development process of an existing portfolio of wind and  energy projects including: project optimization, site control activities, negotiation with landowners,  strategy establishment, permitting implementation, positioning and transmission interconnection

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Identify new green and brown field opportunities
• ·         Work closely with colleagues and consultants to define overall project economics
• Provide support to acquisition activities including due diligence on potential opportunities and support in negotiation of acquisition agreements
• ·         Work closely with marketing, project and technical teams
• ·         Negotiate with landowners and third parties
• ·         Ensure that planning regulations are adhered to in assigned territory

Education:-

• ·         Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience

Core Requirements:-

• 5+ Years in energy project development

• Demonstrated ability in developing wind energy projects through to construction/financing, including site control, transmission, and power marketing.
• Strong negotiation experience
• Thorough understanding of UK planning processes

General Requirements:-

• Ability to travel

• ·         Ability to communicate across all levels of an organisation
• ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
• ·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
