Project Developer/Manager - Wind Farm Developments

With the onset of the Renewable Energy Target in Australia (20% of electricity to come from renewable sources by 2020), our client is well-positioned to lead the market in the delivery of clean energy through the development of wind farm projects throughout Australia. This has resulted in the immediate need for Project Developers/Managers to work from Melbourne, Victoria.

Working closely with various stakeholders you will both assess opportunities for development and deliver projects through early development stages. In particular this will involve:

• Landholder liaison and negotiations
• Delivery of projects through the feasibility, development and consent stages
• Close liaison with Energy Resources, Connection Services, Environment, Planning, and stakeholder Relations teams
• Assisting the Business Development Manager through commercial development including: commercial viability, acquisition opportunities, due diligence activities & competitor monitoring
• Building relationships within governments, renewable energy companies and developers and other energy generators and developers
• Maintain a keen knowledge of policy and planning regulations relevant to the renewable energy industry in Australia 

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business management or engineering
• Skills in project project planning and management
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Skills and experience in negotiation and an ability to influence outcomes and decisions
• High-level communication skills
• Ability to organise work plans and effectively prioritise tasks
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and strategic thinking
• Available to travel regularly to interstate locations as required.
