The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is a charity committed to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. 

A position is available, starting as soon as possible, as the Programme Support Officer for ZSL’s Conservation Programmes. We are looking for a suitably experienced and adaptable individual to provide coordination and administration for a wide range of conservation projects. 

The successful candidate will support the Conservation Programmes Director with research, report writing and presentations on a variety of conservation issues. The successful candidate will also coordinate conferences and workshops as well as a range of other departmental and cross-Society initiatives, such as funding research, production of pitch documents and information sheets, or compilation of key performance indicators. 

The post-holder should have excellent written English skills, be able to present information in a logical and visually appealing manner, and have excellent organisational and time management skills. We are ideally looking for someone with a higher degree (or equivalent experience) as well as a good understanding of global biodiversity conservation issues. 

This position offers an unrivalled opportunity to engage with a wide range of people, issues and types of work in the biodiversity conservation arena, gaining skills, knowledge, contacts and experience in the process.
