The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of specific programmes within the overall suite of activities, including working with a team of staff and external consultants. Initial key tasks will include managing the ongoing development and implementation of one or more industry programmes.
Job Function To manage the development and delivery of energy programmes for business To manage team, consultancy and budgetary aspects of the delivery of specific programmes, including communication, marketing and strategic planning To work as part of a team providing support and information services to business To participate in strategic programme and policy development
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the ongoing development and delivery of one or more of SEI’s Industry Programmes Manage the effective delivery of specific programme elements by consultants, monitoring value for money, quality and reputational aspects Actively engage managers in industry and business, as well as other stakeholders, including Government. Contribute to advisory work on policy in relevant areas.
Key Knowledge and Skills Ability to lead and coordinate project teams effectively Excellent communication skills Innovative and proactive approach to problem solving and delivery Strong organisation and influencing skills Understanding of the challenges and issues facing Irish industry and business Some understanding of energy issues as relating to industry and business
Qualifications and Experience Relevant degree in a technical or business area. At least eight years’ relevant experience in relevant consultancy, industry or public sector roles. Cross-disciplinary skills an advantage. Experience of managing programmes and teams and of dealing with policy and strategy issues.
