Description

As part of the Science team, The Luc Hoffmann Institute aims to be the world’s leading catalyst for innovation and transformative change to maintain biodiversity, the foundation of all life on Earth. We create the conditions for new approaches to emerge, identify and mobilise the most promising innovators and ideas, and provide a flow of impactful, de-risked and exciting initiatives for investors. Our passionate and open-minded team is dedicated to driving societal change for nature and people to thrive together.

This part-time, Programme Administrator position will support the Luc Hoffmann Institute programme team through the provision of administrative support to ensure smooth running of the daily operations as well as for collaborative projects. The focus will be on project activities and operations based in the Cambridge office: administration and support for expenses and reporting, providing event management, logistics and travel support as well as maintaining and updating record keeping for the office and for projects.  In addition, the role involves ensuring the main administrative processes of the collaboration are undertaken smoothly and efficiently.

You will be computer literate, including excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, be flexible in approach and able to effectively manage multiple tasks and requests. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative to make improvements. You will demonstrate a professional approach and be capable of developing an excellent understanding of the Centre’s policies and procedures as well as the Luc Hoffmann Institute organisational needs.  Experience of working in a project-based organisation is strongly desirable and experience in organising workshops would be an advantage.

The Centre’s staff are passionate, experienced, ambitious and results-orientated, providing you with a brilliant opportunity to develop and contribute to your own skills. In addition to training and development opportunities, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including generous pension contributions. Please note this is a part time position working 2-3 days per week.

If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging post where you can impress us with your motivation, commitment and ‘can-do’ attitude, we want to hear from you. Please complete a WCMC application form and send it together with your CV and a short covering letter by clicking through the link below by 1st March 2020.
