Description

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is currently seeking to fill the position of Vice President of Individual Giving. The WWF Development Program is poised to begin a period of growth, with the goal of doubling annual revenues from the current level of $55 million by 2016. Individual Giving is likely to be the cornerstone of this growth. The overall giving program is evolving rapidly and seeks energetic, creative fundraising talent who are eager to help shape that process of growth and change.

The Vice President of Individual Giving provides strategic and operational leadership for individual fundraising programs within WWF. S/he is responsible for ensuring the organization’s strategy and approach to individual giving is aligned with organizational priorities, and that the team is staffed to meet aggressive annual and multi-year fundraising goals. S/he will provide vision, strategic leadership and practical guidance to a team of fundraisers while also directly cultivating and soliciting gifts from key supporters.

The Vice President of Individual Giving reports to the Senior Vice President of Development and manages a team of 13 individuals. Within development, peers include the Vice President of Strategic Services, the Director of Foundation Relations and the Director of Corporate Relations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience (15 or more years) and success as a leader developing, building and delivering individual fundraising programs and initiatives to meet annual and multi-year revenue goals in excess of $25 million and delivering personal, individual gift results in excess of $10 million. S/he will also possess a proven track record in managing large, complex programs and long-term efforts. The ability to implement strategic vision and manage change are required, as is a strong commitment to the mission, goals and values of WWF. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

WWF is the world’s most trusted and well-known conservation organization. Today, WWF works in 100 countries and is supported by 1.2 million members in the United States and close to five million members globally. WWF’s work has evolved from the initial vision of funding species conservation to a complex global effort that protects species, places and the people who share them. More information can be found at www.wwfus.org.

WWF believes its most valuable asset in achieving its mission is its employees. The organization seeks people that meet its core values: a commitment to achieving conservation results; honesty and responsibility and accountability within WWF and with others; and a respect for the unique skills and perspectives of their colleagues, supporters, partners and the communities in which WWF works.
