Program Coordinator(s) / Adviser(s) Central Africa The destruction of the world’s rainforests is one of our time’s biggest environmental disasters. Every year an area of 130 000 km2 of tropical forest disappears. Rainforest Foundation Norway is one of Europe’s leading organizations in the work to protect the world’s rainforests and strengthen the rights of indigenous peoples, in cooperation with local indigenous and environmental organizations in Southeast Asia, Central Africa and the Amazon. (More information at http://www.regnskog.no/languages/english) Rainforest Foundation Norway is a non-governmental organization of 40 employees, working in 10 rainforest countries, together with more than 100 local contract partners. We are looking for one and possibly two experienced Program Coordinators / Advisers to our program “Rights-based rainforest protection in the Congo Basin”, mainly in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The Program Coordinator(s) / Adviser(s) will be based in our office in Oslo, Norway, work in a department of 4 people and be responsible for results and achievements within the program. Qualifications
This includes project planning, implementation, follow up and reporting, including writing project proposals and budgeting.
Personal qualities
We have flexible work hours and a pension agreement. Annual salary will be between 384 700 NOK and 493 900 NOK, or between 485 400 NOK and 533 000 NOK, depending on qualifications. Starting date: As soon as possible (1st position) and August 1st (2nd possible position).
