OverviewThe Zoological Society of London (ZSL), a charity founded in 1826, is a world-renowned centre of excellence for conservation science and applied conservation. ZSL’s mission is to promote and achieve the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. This is realised by carrying out field conservation and research in over 50 countries across the globe and through education and awareness-raising at our two zoos, ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo, inspiring people to take conservation action. Role ProfileWe are offering an exciting opportunity for an intern to assist with the development of new online learning courses, in partnership with National Geographic Society, to produce a suite of standardised training courses for all levels of protected area management practitioners. The role will largely involve assisting in the technical development of online content – creating animated pdfs and powerpoints such as Prezi, using Adobe and other creative suites. The successful candidate will also more widely support the Professionalising Conservation team, working closely with the Conservation eLearning Specialist and Project Manager to deliver online courses. Please note: The internship will be six months long, ideally starting in October 2018. The role is part time (maximum four days per week) and is based at ZSL’s Conservation Programmes department in Regent’s Park. Please note that this is a paid internship, set at the national minimum wage of £7.83 per hours.
