Product Manager, Solar Germany

My client is a large European manufacturer and distributor of PV inverters. They also develop large scale solar PV power plants with operations across Western and Eastern Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful international organization in a lead position within the company.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for an experienced product manager to join their team in Germany and to work on the development and be actively involved in the  sales of solar PV (photovoltaic) inverters across globally. This is an exciting opportunity for a product manager or a R&D (research and development) technician with an electrical engineering background to take the next step in their career in the vastly emerging Solar PV market which is projected to be the biggest market in Europe and globally over the next 10 years.

Responsibilities:

• ·         Liaise with the R&D team to develop their line of string / decentral inverter products
• ·         Identify, assess and create market potential in the global market.
• ·         Consult with clients to advise on which product best suits their requirements
• ·         Will be managing multiple projects simultaneously to strict deadlines and to above satisfactory standards
• ·         Defining and working within budgetary constraints
• ·         Develop and set up local strategic partnerships with utilities, project developers, IPPs

Education:

• ·         Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification of relevance

Core Requirements:

• ·         Minimum 3-5 years experience, with a proven track record in the development and management of solar photovoltaic (PV) inverters
• ·         Excellent communications skills
• ·         Must be willing to relocate to Germany
• ·         Excellent commercial experience

• Must have excellent (spoken, written and reading) English language skills( Italian, German, French or Spanish beneficial)
