Product Manager, Freiburg, Germany

My client is one of the biggest global manufacturers, specializing in manufacturing mono and polycrystalline silicon modules with a strong market presence in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific regions with a very strong business plan and balance sheet. They seek a driven, highly-organized individual with great communication and leadership skills to join their team. The senior marketing manager will oversee the entire marketing operation in Europe and will be responsible for further developing and increasing this existing brand awareness and their bespoke service and the quality they offer in their modules.

Core Criteria:
My client is seeking an experienced individual to lead their marketing efforts and increase their brand awareness across Europe.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Coordinate the product and service innovation process
• ·         Define products based on existing technology roadmap, market feedback and other innovation opportunities together with all relevant functions
• ·         Coordinate between the various functions (R&D, Engineering, Production, Project Management, O&M, Sales etc.) to evaluate the feasibility of new products and  develop product roll-out plans
• ·         Generate internal documentation for decision making and planning
• ·         Produce documents for custiomers  to prepare the market for new products
• ·         Present and test the roll-out plans with market participants (customers, insurances, banks, etc.)
• ·         Incorporate market feedback into updated product definitions
• ·         Contribute to the continuous improvement of the product management process

Education:-

• Must have strong educational background in Engineering and /or Economics or Business Administration

Core Requirements:-

• ·         At least five years of experience in technology-related business with regular customer interaction, bridging the gap between technology and market
• ·         Customer service attitude both with regards to external customers and internal colleagues
• ·         Strong analytical skills
• ·         Strong team player

General Requirements:-

• ·         Good MS Office skills (excellent Excel skills). 
• ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
• ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
• ·         Ability to travel internationally

• Good time management skills and multi-tasking skills

Key Skills:

Solar PV, Engineering and /or Economics or Business Administration degree, good organizational skills, attention to detail, good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, team leadership(strong advantage)and Fluency in German and a good level of spoken English.
