Product Manager - Modules

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

This dynamic, high-visibility position is responsible for product management for our intelligent solar modules within the company. This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor in a start-up like environment to create new products around our vertically integrated technology. You will be a key leader in a highly successful, booming business unit with plenty of room to grow & advance your career.

Job Scope: You will help drive implementation of product road maps, define new requirements, establish bankability, position products, implement business process, coordinate product launches, and support product marketing efforts. You will lead a diverse, dynamic, international cross functional team to bring leading edge technology to market. This is a highly hands-on role and requires a unique combination of technical skills and business acumen. You will get to interface with key leaders with in the corporation. Some travel will be required on an as-needed basis.

Job Related Experience:

• 2 to 5 years experience in Product Management role – product cradle to grave life cycles
• Development of product marketing materials including data sheets, line cards, website, product change notifications, etc.
• Development and implementation of internal process specifications
• PVSYS, PVWatts modeling experience a plus
• Experience in solar or alternative energy a plus

Knowledge:

• Successful product launch experience
• Experience in development and ownership of business cases
• Solar energy economics including financial engineering & PPAs a strong plus

Education/Experience:

• BS in Engineering or Science Required
• MBA preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Some lifting required

Communication:

• Excellent verbal communicator that reaches out internally & externally
• Excellent writing skills to develop persuasive business cases
• Ability to communicate in team settings and executive level report outs
• Ability to develop & deliver power points
• Ability to develop marketing communication documentation

Core Competencies:

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Internet and related software
• Fundamental product life cycles
• Solar industry trends a plus
