Procurement Consultant –The Role

Procurement Consultant required for a 12months contract in Sydney, Australia for a global environmental organization.

The Procurement Consultant should have experience with purchasing processes, controls, and systems. 

The Procurement Consultant must service suppliers and source material supporting the Australian market with emphasis on cost reduction, quality delivery, and favoring contract terms. 

The successful Procurement Consultant shall be heavily involved in supplier selections and negotiations, controls, supports and protects my clients best interests regarding commercial terms and issues, whilst maintaining high standards of integrity representing my client with suppliers.

Procurement Consultant – Core Responsibilities

• Liaising between teams to plan sourcing of materials ahead of critical project delivery dates
• Negotiation and management of competitive sourcing events and request/negotiate quotes for materials and services
• Manage the Supplier Development Process for new vendors
• Negotiation of competitive services agreements

The Procurement Consultant must have experience of being a buyer of large scale projects.

Interviews are due to commence next week with a flexible start date offered.

The role is paying up to $100 per hour (Australian Dollars).
