Are you passionate about transforming business for sustainability?

Forum for the Future is looking for a Principal Strategist based in the UK to bring their expertise to shaping and driving how Forum contributes to transforming business for systemic change in the shift towards a just and regenerative world. This role will involve conceptualising, designing and fundraising for work programmes with a strong focus on strategy development and collaboration; project direction and management; and nurturing relationships with various kinds of partner organisations, to enable Forum to achieve its goals.

About You

You will thrive in and contribute to Forum through your shared belief in our purpose and values. You will bring your expertise, experiences, skills and commitment to tackling complex sustainability challenges, and to inspiring and equipping people and organisations to shape ambitious transformation.

To thrive in this role you will:

  • Have extensive relevant experience in sustainability strategy and business transformation, with demonstrable end impact;
  • Have strong understanding of the sustainability challenges and opportunities facing businesses today, and of business and corporate leadership;
  • Bring strong skills and relevant experience in nurturing and managing relationships with partner organisations, including businesses and other stakeholders
  • Be passionate about systemic approaches to transforming business, a capacity to think systemically, and familiarity with applied systems change and futures methodologies
  • Have strong programme management and delivery capabilities, including financial management.
  • Have strong facilitation and process design skills;
  • Be adaptable and resilient in the face of complexity, emergence and uncertainty that we often work with.

You enjoy working in teams, collaborating, and learning from others. Your preferred ways of working are embodied by Forum’s values (being courageous, adaptive, empathetic, inquisitive, playful and respectful).

Forum for the Future works in a space of complexity where there are no easy answers – an ideal candidate will be comfortable with uncertainty and be able to hold space for exploration. Resilience is a key personal attribute that is necessary to the role.

We do not have an ‘ideal’ candidate in mind as we recognise and value the range of diverse experiences that people can bring to a role. If you do not meet all of the requirements outlined in the job description but still believe you have the right mix of skills and experience to thrive in this role and further Forum’s ambitious goals for change, we encourage you to apply.

If this piqued your interest, please read on and apply to join our team. We look forward to receiving your application!
