If so, we are looking for highly motivated professionals with a strong knowledge of renewable fuels and/or sustainability to join the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) Unit as a Principal Sustainability Specialist, and we'd like you to apply! Therefore, this campaign will create an active merit list in order to fulfil demand as soon as it arises. As the UK’s renewable transport fuels regulator, the RTFO Unit is a world-leading centre of expertise on the environmental sustainability of low carbon fuels. We deliver one of Government’s primary policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through decarbonising UK transport. In this role, no day will be the same. One morning you could be resolving a complex sustainability query from a fuel supplier while in the afternoon you could be developing options and briefing ministers on how to use the scheme to encourage use of new emerging fuels such as hydrogen. The next day you could be presenting to international renewable fuel regulators. This is a challenging and exciting area of work. You will join the team at a critical time for transport decarbonisation. We are growing the RTFO scheme, looking to introduce a specific mandate for Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), and reviewing how we better incentivise the use of novel fuel types like renewable hydrogen.
