Description

APEM is Europe’s largest specialist aquatic science and remote sensing consultancy. For the past five years we have been developing our remote sensing business in the USA with increasing year on year revenues. APEM Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of APEM Ltd was founded in 2015, and has recently won a number of strategically important projects in the offshore renewables sector. We have therefore decided to open a new office on the North Eastern Seaboard, primarily to capitalise on the opportunities provided by the expansion of the offshore wind industry on the Eastern seaboard.

About the role

We are now looking for an experienced Principal Consultant to head up the APEM North Eastern Seaboard office, manage our existing portfolio of projects and to develop new business.

This will not be a purely business development role, although client facing activity and winning of new business will be a required element. The successful candidate will also be responsible for project managing APEM Inc’s existing portfolio of US projects, including management of survey logistics, budgets and subcontractors. Writing and reviewing of consultancy reports and tenders will be an essential component of the role, and as such, the successful candidate will demonstrate a high standard of written English. The successful candidate will be supported by and in regular telecommunication contact with APEM’s 130 European staff.

We offer a generous benefits package, which includes healthcare, pension contribution, paid holiday, death in service insurance. Occasional visits to the UK Manchester head office will be required.

How to apply

If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please download an APEM Application Form, and email it, along with a copy of your CV / resume and a covering letter to: recruitment@apemltd.co.uk by 11 May, 2018.

Initial interviews will be held via Skype in May.
