The candidate is expected to:
- Provide rigorous assessment of policies for a sustainable management of livestock pasture-based systems
- Have an excellent knowledge of the main climate and energy-agriculture policies in the agenda at different geographical scales and sectors or topics.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders and work in collaboration with them.
- Write reports and disseminate results in different meetings and forums.
- Raise funding for future research projects on the topic.
Experience/skills required
We are looking for candidates with a PhD degree on Agricultural Sciences, Economics, Environmental Sciences or any other related with the topic and solid knowledge on the assessment of livestock pasture-based systems. Having experience in using and conducting participatory processes techniques to perform policy assessments is highly value as well as the ability to create networks with decision-makers and stakeholders based on cooperation and co-production of knowledge. Field experience in combination with theoretical knowledge of extensive livestock management (guided pasturing, Rational Voisin Grazing), etc.. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal as well as communication skills (both written and oral) in Spanish and English. Knowledge of Basque will be valued.
