The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado is the nation’s primary laboratory for research, development and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL's National Bioenergy Center has collaborative position with a Postdoctoral Researcher from the university of Florida. The assignment is for one year, 20 hours per week.
The Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct studies of biomass pyrolysis and help write peer-reveiwed publications. The researcher will conduct pyrolysis experiments using a captive sample reactor and a laminar entrained flow reactor. The products will be analyzed using molecular beam mass spectrometry and the solids will be analyzed with light and electron microscopy.
Must be a recent PhD graduate within the last three years.
Experience with imaging and biomass.
