Description

The Institute of Zoology, the research arm of the Zoological Society of London, affiliated to University College London, invites applications for the part-time post of Post Graduate Research Assistant. The jobholder will join a team which conducts wild animal disease surveillance to investigate the impact of interventions on the health of populations, through disease risk analysis, pathological studies and clinical investigations. A veterinary qualification and either (i) a postgraduate qualification in wild animal health and experience in the veterinary care of captive and /or free-living wild animals, or (ii) at least one years experience in the veterinary care of captive and /or free-living wild animals, is essential.

The post is available from 1st May 2012 and is for 11 months in the first instance. Unsocial and flexible working hours and travel within the United Kingdom will be necessary.
