We are seeking a Researcher to join our team of fish biologists based at Te Papa, Wellington. The work of the team is dedicated to studying the diversity of fishes of the New Zealand region. One of the major outputs of the team during the period of the position is the production of the Guidebook to the Fishes of New Zealand. The role will also involve working on the Antarctic fish taxonomy and diversity of deep-sea fishes The researcher should have an excellent university record, holding a minimum of a Doctoral degree in a marine zoological subject.. The successful candidate should be able to start in the last quarter of 2011. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a combination of the following:
