Post Doc: Energy Efficiency and Range of Electric/hybrid Vehicles

Project Description

Development of test procedures/methodologies to assess the energy efficiency of hybrid/electric vehicles. Investigation of the influence of different parameters (temperature, driving cycle on the energy efficiency and on the range of hybrid/electric vehicles.  Design of ad-hoc experimental programmes and analysis of the results.   

Qualifications/Expertise needed

The ideal candidate has a PhD in engineering or in  a similar technical field (or a university degree in environmental science/chemistry) or 5 years research experience after the university degree giving access to doctoral studies.  Good knowledge on electric/conventional vehicle technology is required. Practical experience in data analysis, statistical data treatment and modeling is an advantage. Good knowledge of spoken and written English is required as well as good communication and inter-personal skills and ability to work in a team.
