Reporting to the SVP of Policy & Research, the Alliance Policy Manager is responsible for supporting tasks related to federal policy, including legislative tracking and analysis, writing facts sheets and position briefs and managing the Building Policy Committee. He/she will also support the Alliance’s strategic initiatives as needed. This individual is expected to work collaboratively across the organization and with a myriad of external stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities:
Experience Required: Minimum 7-10 years professional experience in policy analysis, government, advocacy, and/or public affairs aimed at influencing policy change. Experience on Capitol Hill is a plus. Education Required: Bachelor’s degree required, strong consideration for Master’s degree, or higher, or equivalent related experience, in policy advocacy, government affairs, legislative affairs, or related relevant area. About the Alliance:The Alliance to Save Energy is a nonprofit, bipartisan coalition of business, government, environmental and consumer leaders advocating for enhanced energy productivity to achieve economic growth, a cleaner environment, and greater energy security, affordability and reliability. Compensation:Salary range is $50,000-80,000, based on experience. The Alliance offers a generous benefits package and a comfortable work environment in downtown Washington, DC, convenient to Metro.
