Oceana seeks a Policy Intern to work closely with Oceana’s government relations team in support of our advocacy work. The intern will assist with Oceana campaigns to prevent expanded offshore oil drilling, promote responsible fishery management, protect sharks and marine mammals, prevent illegal fishing and seafood fraud, and defend bedrock environmental laws. The intern will have opportunities to attend congressional hearings, briefings, meetings, and other events and network with other environmental advocates. This is a paid internship. Oceana prefers that interns be available to work 40 hours a week for 3-6 months in the Washington, D.C. headquarters. Oceana accepts interns who receive academic credit for their internship.
