WSPA’s strategy aims to improve the lives of billions of animals worldwide, through campaigning, advocacy and relationship management to influence the legislation, policies and practices which impact the welfare of animals around the world.  Developing the tools and resources to influence change through a wide range of organisations and individuals is critical for WSPA as we work towards our vision of a wolrd where animal welfare matters and animal cruelty ends.

This role is sited in the Policy & Advocacy team within the External Affairs, Research and Learning team (EARL) department, itself part of WSPA International’s Policy and External Affairs directorate.

The team has accountability for developing, maintaining and leveraging WSPA’s relationships with key stakeholders including governments, international bodies, academia, industry and non-government organisations, and influencing positive change for animals through policy and legislative work.  It liaises closely with staff responsible for WSPA’s priority campaigns, projects and communications in WSPA’s international, regional and country offices.

The role of Policy & Advocacy Coordinator is a varied one, coordinating and supporting a range of projects, initiatives and events in Policy & Advocacy.
