We are looking for an experienced, creative and motivated political campaigner. You are enthusiastic about changing the world for the better, and should have a good knowledge of climate and energy policies and the EU institutions.
Policy Adviser for EU energy and climate policies
based at our European Unit in Brussels

Your main responsibilities will be to:
- develop and implement advocacy strategies on EU policies related to energy and climate change as part of a team;
- interact with the Greenpeace energy campaign to provide EU strategic advice and policy expertise in the process of developing and implementing Greenpeace climate and energy campaigns;
- maintain active relations with European institutions;
- organise and contribute to a small team;
- partner with other NGOs and strategic allies to form common advocacy positions;
- draft briefings, letters and other advocacy materials;
- act as a spokesperson for the media and in public fora.
Your skills and qualifications include:
- desire to actively contribute to the protection of the environment and to political change.
- at least 6 years of relevant professional experience;
- excellent policy analysis and strategic planning;
- experience in making change happen through public campaigns, and the ability to view environmental policy issues in terms of campaign opportunities;
- good knowledge of the decision-making processes of the EU institutions;
- detailed understanding of energy and climate change policies;
- self-motivated and stress-resistant team player;
- very good spoken and written English, and fluency in at least one other European language;
- used to working with people from different backgrounds and able to establish supportive work environments;
- good networking skills;
