Scottish Natural Heritage is the leading public body responsible for advising Ministers on matters relating to the natural heritage. You will contribute to the delivery of SNH input to the inshore fisheries management framework, particularly the inshore fishery groups. You will be tasked to improve SNH's understanding of the interactions between inshore fisheries and the natural heritage through the completion of relevant research and development projects. Finally, you will provide advice and guidance for SNH staff and others on inshore fishery/biodiversity issues.
You must have a first or second class degree or equivalent in a relevant subject e.g. Marine Biology, Marine Resource Management etc. You must also have relevant experience in Marine conservation and fisheries, with a sound understanding of marine biodiversity, especially relating to interactions between marine fisheries and the conservation of biodiversity. Finally, you must have a proven ability to manage a programme of work, including delivery of research contracts to schedule.
