Africa Renewables Ltd. (AfriRen) is a start-up founded in 2010 with the objective to develop renewable energy projects in Africa. Africa Renewables provides the European Energy industry with stable, long-term supplies of quality biomass. The  headquarters of ARL  are  in London whilst operational offices are located  in Takoradi and Abidjan. Africa Renewables is offering an internship job for a period of 3 months in London. THE ROLE:

Africa Renewables is offering an internship for a period of 3 months in London during the summer of 2012. This can be an opportunity for a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual who enjoys hands-on responsibilities to get things done.  It is the perfect opportunity to be in the midst of a project just taking off, while directly contributing to sustainable development and the promotion of renewable energy in the world:

The job covers the following duties:

Follow up  admin and accounting operations of the London office
Supervise documentary operations in relation with shipping of our biomass from Africa;
Process spare parts orders needed by the Takoradi office;
Contribute to the preparation of financial models and business plans with regards to other   ARL expansion projects in West Africa;
Analyze, research and  gathering data in  relation with biomass market  in Europe as requested by management

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

This internship would fit either a penultimate year undergraduate student or a recent graduate with an analytical degree, and a keen interest in international economic development and renewable energy
Must possess good organizational along with written and verbal skills in the English and French language.
Good  knowledge of Excel spreadsheets is  required
Ability to integrate comfortably in a small team
Self-reliable

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The candidate will be contracted as per the laws of England and Wales
The salary offered is £1,000 per month
