The regional offices for the current Operations Team role are based in North West England but, being largely field based, the role location will be largely determined by good access to motorway links etc. A large part of the activity will involve visiting customer wind farms on regular inspections and the candidate needs to be a highly organised individual with the ability to largely manage their own workload but still maintain regular contact and updates with the Operations team in the regional offices around the UK.
Primary Objectives Work within the current Operations team to carry out site activities as demanded by the customer O&M contracts. Ensuring HSE compliance throughout (i.e. on all Company managed Wind Farms). Produce appropriate reports on the above in timescales dictated by the contract. Work with all parties to ensure that the Operations team has a comprehensive record of all site activities (past, current and future). Monitor all contractor’s performance in terms of both safe working and adherence to maintenance schedules and standards through site visits, inspections, checking systems and paperwork and other appropriate methods. Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSRs) included as required. Manage appropriate site activities including the induction of staff and 3rd parties on site (including all contractors LV & HV, Civils workers, etc). Work with the safety team to ensure accurate records are kept. Recommend & manage any specialist services on site as required, this will require close liaison with the Operations Engineer for the site. Recommend spares holdings based on historical maintenance data and product knowledge and experience. Audit and advice on implementation. Play a proactive role in further developing good working relationships with customers and any other 3rd parties involved in the operation of the contract and delivering a professional service that is “best-in-class”. Assist in the collection of data from wind farms sites as required (usually combined with site inspections). Act as “Operational Controller” when required - as defined in WTSRs (on a rota basis).
