Operations Supervisor, Colorado, USA

As a leading global utility and power company, my client are looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to assist in the management of the operation and maintenance of a large scale wind farm located in Kansas. This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the largest power companies operating in North America.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will manage all aspects of the day to day operation of the facility. You will assist the Plant Manager in the running of the wind farm and play a major part in all O&M activities on the site.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Prepare and implement plant operating and maintenance procedure
• ·         Manage turbine supplier operations and maintenance agreement, ensuring turbine supplier meets or exceeds all contractual obligations.
• ·         Interface and coordinate with local customers and suppliers
• ·         Procure parts, materials, services and support resolution of technical issues.
• ·         Perform routine Quality Assurance checks of wind technician work
• ·         Manage operations and maintenance of balance of plant including substation, roads, met tower and electrical collection system
• ·         Ensure excellent landowner and community relationships
• ·         Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong academic background with a degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Core Requirements:-

• ·         At least 5 years experience working on the O&M of wind farms
• ·         Strong project management experience and capabilities
• ·         Strong verbal and written communications skill
• ·         High voltage operations and maintenance experience preferred
• ·         Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance, and work at heights greater than 80 meters
