Description

Working as part of the Forth Area team, you will help deliver NatureScot’s priorities relating to nature recovery, climate change, and the creation of nature rich places. This will include helping lead on our engagement with Local Authorities, Key Agencies, and other partners, to develop shared responses to the climate and nature emergencies.

Assisting the NatureScot Forth Area team with the development of projects and external partnerships through positive and proactive collaborative working will be a focus of the role. The post will cover a diverse range of tasks including the provision of advice in relation to town and country planning and related strategies, policies or action plans relating to climate change and nature recovery. Where necessary the post will also provide advice on land management issues, agri-environment funding projects and protected natural heritage sites and areas.

You will be expected to work flexibly and throughout the range of places, habitats, and landscapes within the Forth Area, with the primary focus on delivering our work within the City of Edinburgh and the three Lothian Council areas.
