Operations Manager Solar Module Factory, Germany

My client is one of the leading solar cell and module manufacturing companies, with a proven track record in this field. Their expertise is in end-to-end manufacturing lines for the mass production of thin film silicon solar modules.  As part of their expansion plans are looking to recruit an operations manager to lead their on-site managers.

Responsibilities:-

• Oversee projects globally 
• Be the interface between senior management at the headquarters and the managers on site
• Drive the performance of the sites by liaising with the onsite managers
• Developing strategies to build quicker, more efficiently and more cost effectively
• Coordinate the execution of manufacturing schedules and ensures objectives are met
• leading an international site team, manpower planning and working hours permit
• Responsible for trouble shooting and customer complaints. Recording of transport damage.
• You will be responsible for the assembly processes of machine setup, maintenance and production
• Commissioning of the machines.
• Site inventory management and material procurement
• Responsible all HSE procedure are met
• Monitoring of machine installation

Requirements:-

• At least 5-10 years work experience in a related field
• Must have experience in the photovoltaic industry
• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering (preferred) or Operations related field
• Must have excellent English and German language skill( spoken, written and reading), French, Italian and Spanish(Desirable)
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Proven track record within this area
