Position Overview:
My client is after a Operations Manager to oversee the technical operations and management of wind turbines. They will be responsible for monitoring appropriate checks within this department and reporting directly to division director.
Responsibilities:
- · You will demonstrate your management experience by leading a team of senior engineers who do not require micro management
- · You will be responsible for leading a division that deals with technical operations and management of wind turbines and does continued checks in order to ensure their safety and that they are operating at the premium output level.
- · You will manage all remote control turbine check invoices, expert studies and warranties of wind farms for clients or the company
- · Your team will consist of 12 employees and 3 specialist engineers who you will manage on a day to day basis
- · This position will involve liaising with clients and working closely with other major players within the wind sector giving you an opportunity to gain contacts in the market
- · Your background in engineering will give you an excellent ability to explain technical issues to the clients
- · As head of this team you will be responsible for making on the job decisions and leading your team in the decision making process
- · You will be required to utilise and expand your problem solving skills relating to the operations and management of wind turbines.
Education:
You will have a strong engineering background
Core Requirements:
- · At least 2-5 years working in the Wind energy market with experience in wind farm operations and management
- · You will have demonstrated practical engineering experience within the wind sector
- · Experience working with and liaising with a variety of clients and investors involved in the projects
- · 1-2 years working in a senior management position preferably within the renewable energy sector
- · You will have a strong level of ambition in a desire to progress within the role
- · A strong background in engineering with an excellent technical background
- · You need to have an excellent attention to detail
General requirements
- · Excellent management skills
- · A technical background working on wind farm operations and management
- · Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
- · Fluent in Germans(written and verbal) with English a plus
- · A keen interest in the wind market and a desire to see it progress and be part of its development in Europe
- · An ability to travel across Germany
