Operations and Maintenance Site Manager, Colorado, USA

This company is a global leader in wind park construction and maintenance, with a world class list of clients including several of the top 10 manufacturers and developers within the wind space. They are looking for an experienced O&M Site Supervisor to oversee all operations and maintenance activities within the region.  

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will oversee all operations and maintenance activities, supervise all personal working on the project including leads, technicians and field staff on the assigned wind farm. You will be the primary customer contact and will rely heavily on your extensive experience and judgement to accomplish the set goals.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Oversee all O&M operations on the project
• ·         Leveraging resources as necessary for seamless execution
• ·         Ensure that all applicable polices are adhered to
• ·         Oversee the hiring, training, mentoring and evaluation of technicians
• ·         Providing specific expertise for problem solving
• ·         Be responsible for creating and tracking project schedules
• ·         Interact with staff across the project to provide technical interpretation including project teams and senior management
• ·         Identify the projects financial needs and forecast expenditures
• ·         Maintain the department budget whilst meeting/exceeding annual revenue expectations
• ·         Provide data, reports and other information to assist in the preparation of the corporate annual budget

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong academic background with a degree in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Core Requirements:-

• ·         At least 5 years experience working in the O&M of wind turbines
• ·         At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• ·         An exceptional understanding of various different types of wind turbines
• ·         Strong project management experience including in depth experience with project planning, cost tracking, and customer relations.
• ·         Experience in High, Medium and Low voltages
• ·         Ability to work with clients of varying degrees of knowledge and experience with wind turbine
