Operations and Maintenance Manager, Houston, Texas, USA $85k – $110k + Bonus

This company is a global leader in wind park construction and maintenance, with a world class list of clients including several of the top 10 manufacturers and developers within the wind space. They are looking for a talented Operations and Maintenance Manager to join their team to oversee their various projects throughout Texas.

Position Overview:

As a highly talented Operations and Maintenance Manager you will, you will report directly to the Regional Manager and be the subject matter expert in all aspects of Wind Turbine Operations and Field Maintenance over various technologies.

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Have oversight of the wind technician work force including coaching, constructive performance appraisals, hiring, new employee orientation and ensuring an overall high-performance team. 
• ·         Supervision of preventive and corrective interventions
• ·         Be responsible for project management of respective projects within your region, including:  safe execution, project planning, cost tracking, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within assigned budget while maintaining strong customer satisfaction based on professional communications.
• ·         Ensure the safety of the Services team with a focus on risk assessments, risk mitigation, assist with investigations, seeking root cause and countermeasures while driving safety culture throughout the team and leading safety meetings. 
• ·         Have oversight of the wind technician work force including coaching, constructive performance appraisals, hiring, new employee orientation and ensuring an overall high-performance team. 
• ·         Coordination of internal/subcontractor personnel and assuring the availability of resources, materials and tools during the field works
• ·         Planning and execution of preventive maintenance and design improvements

Education:-

• ·         Must have a strong academic background with a degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil) or a related discipline.

Core Requirements:-

• ·         At least 5 years experience working in the O&M of wind turbines
• ·         An exceptional understanding of the wind sector
• ·         An exceptional understanding of various different types of wind turbines
• ·         Strong project management experience including in depth experience with project planning, cost tracking, and customer relations.

• ·         Ability to work with clients of varying degrees of knowledge and experience with wind turbine
