Operations Analyst/Technician, Inverness, UK

My client is specialist renewable energy developer that has business activities throughout Europe. They are involved from the design through to management stage of projects including Wind, Biomass, solar PV and waste. They employ key staff to cover these processes including design engineers, construction crew, and operations and management staff. My client works with high profile clients within the European market in order to develop and provide clean energy solutions and optimise market opportunities. They have a pipeline of over 300MW onshore wind energy projects and need to make key appointments to the company in order to achieve these targets.

Core Criteria: My client requires a operations analyst/technician for wind energy projects across Europe.

Responsibilities:

• The role will require working with teams on the wind farm sites and utilising your skills in analysis of wind farms
• Your data collection and analysis will ultimately result in the high level of performance of the wind farm
• You will gain expertise in the utilisation of data and modelling
• By working with a European developer of wind farms you will gain market awareness and European exposure which will result in further development of key skills within the onshore wind energy sector
• You will work with senior management discussing and analysing results having an impact in the decisions made on individual projects and the development process of wind projects throughout the company.

Education:

Engineering or science degree (Maths, Electrical Engineering etc)

Core Requirements:

• A strong background working in the onshore wind market and a passion to see it grow
• Experience working with and liaising and a variety of clients and investors involved in the projects
• Excellent skills working in an Operations Analyst/Technician position within the renewable energy sector
• Strong level of ambition in a desire to progress within a role
• A strong technical background in the wind energy sector and a desire to advance this skill set

General requirements

• Will have 2-3 years experience in the onshore energy market
• Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• The ability to travel within the UK and with time across Europe
• A keen interest in the  wind market and a desire to see it progress and be part of its development in the UK

Key Skills: Analytical and technical skills within the wind farm sector and excellent report writing and presentation skills
